Intro to Sewing II - Reusable Grocery Bag

Up your sustainability game with a cute Baggu-style grocery bag. Your new reusable grocery bag will be so cute, you’ll always remember to take it with you to the store. This is the perfect project if you’ve just taken our intro to sewing class and are looking for your next project. We will develop your new found skills and help you gain confidence in your sewing abilities!
Topics covered:
Using, reading, and interpreting a simple pattern
Cutting fabric using fabric shears and rotary cutters
Ironing and pressing techniques
Required Materials (purchase and bring to class)
● Fabric
○ 1/2y for the outside bag layer and 1/2y for the inside bag layer
○ woven (non-stretchy) medium weight fabric such as quilting cotton
● Matching polyester thread (students are welcome to use our thread however we can't guarantee an exact color match!)
