Open Studio Hours
Need to use a sewing machine or looking for some space to lay out and cut a pattern? Join us for Open Studio Hours!
Open studio hours allow sewists to come in and use tools, equipment, and thread in the studio for personal projects.

Guidelines
Open Studio Hours sessions are 2hrs long and require booking. Our schedule changes weekly. For a current schedule of available Open Studio Hours, click here.
Taking Intro to Sewing* is required to attend Open Studio Hours. *(or having the equivalent skill level). Sewing machine instruction is not provided during Open Studio Hours. If you've taken Intro to Sewing I with us and need help getting the machine set up, our volunteers will be able to assist you.
Staff will not be able to assist with projects or equipment. Why not?
Open Studio Hours are open to ages 16+.
Open Studio Hours are independent work time. No instruction or project is provided.
Bookings for Open Studio Hours are for one person. Due to space constraints, each person must sign up for their own Open Studio Hours session. That includes friends tagging along!
Sewists must be familiar and comfortable setting up and using any tools, equipment, or machines during their appointment.
To use a serger, you must complete Intro to Sergers at Sincere Studio first. Serger instruction is not provided during Open Studio Hours. If you know how to use a serger and would like to be approved to use a serger during Open Studio Hours, please email frances@sincerestudiopdx.org to set up a skills test.

Open Studio Hours are independent work time. Open Studio volunteers will not be able to assist with participant projects. Participants must be comfortable with using tools and equipment independently. Projects and materials are not provided.
Packages are final sale and non-transferable.

Booking cancellation/credit refunds*
