Hand Sewing Techniques

Begin your hand sewing journey with this two and half hour intro class! This class will start with an overview of tools used in hand sewing. Students will learn a variety of stitches that can be used for different applications including mending, quilting, and garment making. Time will be reserved at the end for students to ask questions.
Topics covered:
Choosing fabrics and materials to stitch with
Helpful tools for your sewing kit
A variety of stitches and their uses, such as hand quilting, sewing on patches, and hemming pants
Optional Materials:
● Pen + notebook for note-taking
