About the event
Join us for our community mending night! No experience required
Volunteers will be assisting participants in mending clothing, bags, toys, and more.
We can help with:
Rips and holes, patching, sewing buttons back on, fixing undone seams, reattaching some hardware to clothing and bags, and more!
Tricky things like zippers may not be able to be rescued at community mending night. A volunteer will help you assess and may determine that the repair needed is outside of the scope of community mending!
This event is for mending only--we won't be able to do any clothing alterations during this time
Guidelines:
Please bring no more than 3 items to mend
We will only be sewing by hand and machines will not be available
Mending assistance is subject to volunteer availability
Participants may use studio materials and tools as needed! Things like thread and material to patch holes with is available :)
Mask policy: Our new mask policy for classes/events starting May 15 or later: any participant can anonymously request that masks be worn by everyone at this event using the form on the rsvp/registration page. If one person requests masks, masks will be required for everyone. If no one requests masks, masks will be optional for the class. We hope this provides greater choice for all participants while still preserving accessibility. Thank you for your understanding!
