Class levels

Level 0 - No experience required!
Level 1 - You've taken intro to sewing OR you're comfortable setting up a sewing machine and using it to make a straight                       stitch and are ready for your next project
Level 2 - You've made a 1-3 small projects and want to learn garment and quilt making basics
Level 3 - You've made a handful of small - medium sized projects and are ready for a more complex project
Level 4 - You've made a few garments and are comfortable working with sewing patterns

Open Studio (2 hr block)

Class Description

Open studio hours are currently free thanks to a grant from the Braemar Charitable Trust! Open studio hours allow sewists to come in and use tools, equipment, and thread in the studio for personal projects! **Sewists must be familiar and comfortable setting up and using any tools, equipment, or machines during their appointment.** Staff will not be able to assist with projects or equipment. If you have not used a sewing machine before, we recommend taking our intro to sewing class first :) To use a serger, you must complete Intro to Sergers at Sincere Studio first. If you know how to use a serger and would like to be approved to use a serger during Open Studio Hours, please email frances@sincerestudiopdx.org to set up a skills test. Our sergers keep breaking during open sew hours and we cannot afford to get them fixed!
