About the event
Learn to shop the final boss of thrifting, a.k.a. the Goodwill “bins,” from an expert, with tips on finding fabric and other textiles to use for sewing!
What are "the bins"? The bins are the outlet stores for Goodwill thrift stores. They contain things that didn't sell at stores AND new things that never made it into the stores in the first place. You pay for your things by the pound, with some exceptions such as furniture, appliances, electronics, and books.
We’ll do a tour of the space, then go over bins etiquette and rules; tips for digging around for sewing stuff; how the weighing/checkout process works and more!
Where: meet at the Goodwill Outlet in Milwaukie, 1702 SE Ochoco St. Meet Frances outside store entrance; they’ll be wearing a Sincere Studio hoodie
