Free meeting space for activist/organizing groups

Sincere Studio is offering free studio space rentals for justice-oriented groups in an effort to support and uplift the work being done around us.

Requests for space rentals are subject to studio availability. We may not be able to accommodate all requests. Filling out a request form is not a guarantee that you'll be able to use our space. A member of our staff will follow up as soon as possible (we are a small team of 1.5 people, please be patient!)

1. Eligibility & Purpose

  • The space is available for activist meetings, political organizing, and community advocacy events

  • This offer is for meeting space only--use of studio supplies, tools, and machines is not included. Similarly, using space rentals for teaching classes related to sewing/textile art is not permitted.

  • Preference is given to BIPOC-led, queer-led, or other underrepresented community groups

  • The space is not available for commercial ventures, partisan campaign events, or activities promoting hate or discrimination. We do not offer space rentals to groups aligned with law enforcement, white supremacy, or other hate groups.

  • Organizers are not permitted to charge entry fees to their meeting/event.

  • For safety purposes, the use of our space as a starting point for rallies, marches, large group bike rides, and protests will not be allowed.

2. Booking & Scheduling

  • Booking requests must be made at least 10 days in advance by filling out this form.

  • Our space can host up to 20 people.

  • Our space is available for times when classes/clubs/open studio hours are not happening. This can be found on our class calendar page here; please note that we have more availability during the day on week days and weekend evenings. Weeknight evenings are generally not available due to our class schedule.

  • Space rentals are available for a total duration of up to 3 hours, including setup/take down.

  • Groups may request a free rental twice a month

9. Cancellation & Changes
